My biking days started with a Yamaha DT50 when I was 16, and then onto 250 & 350cc 2 stroke screamers. My first real bike was a 1979 HONDA CB900F Which got traded in for the bird in July of 99, and I intend to keep the blackbird till I or it dies, (hopefully I will get another) I am 38 years old and live in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, I have been married to Jayne for 13 years with 3 terrors ooops I mean boys. Who one day will get Super-BlackbirdsI hope you find the site as usefull as I do. And with your ideas/thoughts it can only grow bigger, so please if you have any questions or remarks that you find I can deal with, feel free to drop me an e-mail!

Hi all….I‘m Mandy,I been riding bikes since 1997, and got my Blackbird in 1999, I’ve got to say “I love my Bird”(serious love affair going on here - sorry Deano). I wouldn’t swap her for anything bar a Bird that is a few Kg’s lighter, but who knows what the future developments may hold? V5 - now that would be worth waiting for!

I have been a member of the IXXRA since 2000, and have got to say you could not meet a more welcoming and friendly bunch on the face of this planet. The atmosphere, banter, technical knowledge and experience of the members’ base is second to none. Everyone is always willing to put forward his or her suggestions to any problem posed. Believe me I’ve picked many a brain over the years and continue to do so. Trust me when I say “THE MEMBERS ARE WHAT MAKES THIS GROUP”!

As for myself I am an e-learning designer by trade, I’ve been married to Deano since 1983 and can’t wait for every hour we're together. No kids…NOPE ! ”Not on your Nelly”…I’m chicken of that responsibility.

Hi, I am Jayne..... better half and married to Andy.We have been married for 13 years and we have 3 boys aged 13, 11 and 8. When I met Andy I was a secretary at his place of work. I am now busy working full time with IXXRA, a busy homemaker too, looking after the boys especially our eldest son who is partially disabled. I first got into bikes when I met Andy as he is bike crazy. I am wanting to own my own bike but I am too short for a blackbird, which I would love to have so I am looking at buying a Honda CBR400RR Baby Blade.

I started this website back in June 2000, after realising there was a serious shortage of good CBR-XX Blackbird websites out there. Sure enough there was quite a few out there, but it still left me with a feeling that somehow, they just did not have the full content features that I’d have expected, I very quickly became bored with them! Nor did they seem to update their sites enough for my own personal liking. I was bursting with ideas and I knew we could do better..so we did!
