Wrist Ache?

Tired of wrist, shoulder or back pain from the reach across your Honda Blackbirds gas tank? Here is one mans solution which worked perfectly (higher, closer and straighter) - replace your Blackbird's clip-ons with 02 - 03 VFR clip-ons!
vfr bars on honda blackbird
Norm Edwards wrote to IXXRA - I must admit that when I first bought the XX and was getting used to the sportier riding position having previously been riding the more relaxed VFR750, I found myself getting wrist ache after about 150 miles. However I put this down to my body re-moulding itself to the low, long reach bars of the XX, after being used to the VFR for so long. It seems I was right. The wrist ache just goes away gradually until it is not a problem usually after a mere 2000 miles. However this is just my own experience, so if you are used to riding balls-out sports bikes, this may not be a problem for you, but if it is, it does not last too long.
You may consider getting a new set of bars that are easier on the wrists. The link below is information supplied by John Glickman about a friend of his (Norm Edwards) that had wrist ache problems and decided to do something about it. The method is simple and effective and may be just what you are looking for.
